Emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine suspended.
Bratislava — AFP — Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced on Monday the suspension of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine due to disruptions in Russian oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline, which passes through Ukrainian territory.
In a video message posted on Facebook and sent to the media, Fico said: "Given the seriousness of the situation and the state of emergency declared in the oil sector in Slovakia, we are forced to respond immediately with this first symmetrical step. Otherwise, we will respond with other symmetrical measures."
